We offer six-semester undergraduate (B.Sc.) course in Physics, as well as four-semester postgraduate (M.Sc.) course in Physics, under Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati. Physics, being a natural science, investigates the interactions among various particles and force fields that govern the dynamics of the ever-alive universe. These phenomena encompass different aspects such as mechanical, thermal, optical, electrical, and magnetic properties.

Our department's students come from rural areas and require development in both academics and personality. This is only possible when students focus more on their studies and actively participate in co-curricular activities. The syllabus of Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati, is designed to develop students in an overall performance. Taking advantage of this, our department plans to increase the academic percentage of marks of the students as well as their participation in co-curricular activities.

The department organizes class tests on each unit of the syllabus for all B.Sc. and M.Sc. students. This prepares them for written examinations. Additionally, the department organizes various activities such as Guest Lectures, Workshop, Poster Presentation Competitions, Participation in the Avishkar Competition, and Science Day competitions etc. In all these activities, students actively participate. The department felicitates all participants in the competitions with certificates and students who show extraordinary performance are felicitated with gifts and certificates.

This initiative by the department has led to increased participation in various activities, benefiting students in terms of personality development. It is also observed that the average percentage of students marks has increased at the graduate level compared to the HSC examination. This success reflects the department's student-centric approach.
